Local McDonald's offering free McFlurries on hot days

STAFF REPORT

Central Pennsylvania McDonald's restaurants will offer customers a free snack-size McFlurry when the temperature surpasses 90 degrees this summer, according to a company news release.

Cars use the drive-through at the McDonald's on Route 30.

The offer is only redeemable through the company's mobile app and is dependent on the temperature gauge at Harrisburg International Airport. Once the temperature surpasses 90 degrees, the offer will be pushed through the app to Central Pennsylvania users and will be accepted at participating restaurants for up to 24 hours.

The McFlurry is reduced fat, soft-serve vanilla ice cream with M&Ms, Oreo cookie bits or Reese's Peanut Butter Cup pieces included.
