Muddy Run to test sirens July 14

Exelon Generation will test Muddy Run Pumped Storage Facility's emergency warning sirens Thursday, July 14, according to a company news release.

The Drumore Township facility's system consists of six loudspeakers mounted atop poles along Conowingo Pond in Drumore Township in Lancaster County and Lower Chanceford and Peach Bottom townships in York County.

The two-minute test will begin at approximately 10 a.m. A brief tone will sound followed by the words, "This is a test, this is a test." In the event of a real emergency, the tone would be followed by the words "This is an emergency, please move to higher ground."
