Manager Kristin Wolfe said the York County store has ranked in the top 10 in sales among Beef Jerky Outlet locations nationally most months since it opened, and at the company's annual conference, the location was named the 2015 Rookie of the Year, despite only opening in December.
Tennessee-based Beef Jerky Outlet operates in 57 locations with 40 more stores set to open in 2016, according to a company news release.
In honor of the holiday, all Beef Jerky Outlet locations will offer reduced prices on certain items, hold drawings to win free jerky for a year, give away PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals) T-shirts and donate 5 percent of the purchase price on in-store transactions to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Beef jerky is one of the fastest growing-segments of the snack food industry, according to the release, which states that Americans spent approximately $2.8 billion on the dried meat in 2015.
The Beef Jerky Outlet offers more than 200 varieties, including kangaroo, alligator, venison and elk.
Wolfe said the York County store's top sellers have been prime rib jerky and smoked cherry maple beef.
