Multimillionaires need a place to sleep too.

If they were to decide they want that place to be in York County, there's a few expensive options available. The five most expensive York County properties available as listed by the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) currently range from $1.37 million to $2.25 million, according to a list compiled by Tony Thomas, president of the Realtors Association of York and Adams Counties.

Thomas excluded properties that were predominantly land purchases. Here they are, in order:

1: 2505 Taxville Road in West Manchester Township, $2.25 million. This 22.5-acre estate on Honey Run Golf Course includes a two-story home with an indoor heated pool, outdoor kitchen and greenhouse, according to the listing. A virtual tour is available at

2: 740 Witmer Road in Springettsbury Township, $1.5 million. The home on this 2-acre property comes with a first-floor master suite and "attached in-law home," according to the listing.

3: 99 Manor Drive in Monaghan Township, $1.5 million. The 20-acre "equestrian estate"  features an in-ground pool and two-story home with cathedral ceilings and a suspended staircase, according to the listing.

4: 6396 Hoff Road in Heidelberg Township, $1.49 million. The five-bedroom, three-bathroom home overlooks Lake Marburg, and the 29-acre estate includes two barns, which make the property "picturesque enough to use as a possible wedding venue," according to the listing.

5: 17163 Fairfield Road in Hopewell Township, $1.37 million. In the midst of a 77-acre farm sits a two-story Colonial-style home and private stocked pond, according to the listing.
