The Bon-Ton Stores reported a more than $57 million net loss during the 2015 fiscal year, according to a company news release.

Comparable store sales decreased 1.3 percent compared to the 2014 fiscal year, and total sales decreased 1.4 percent.

The York-based department store chain attributes the drops mostly to poor performance of cold-weather merchandise and weak traffic trends, the release states.
