Voith Hydro awarded $47 million Army contract
York's Voith Hydro was awarded an Army contract worth more than $47 million to install new turbines and rewind generators, according to a U.S. Department of Defense announcement.
The local manufacturing and technology supplier will perform the work in Burbank, Washington, with a March 16, 2020, estimated date of completion. The $47.671,169 incrementally funded contract is fixed price with more than $6 million awarded initially.
Voith Hydro was one of three bids received for the contract, according to the announcement.
