The Fresh Market has officially signed a lease to move into the West Manchester Town Center, according to a company press release.

The Greensboro, North Carolina-based specialty grocery chain is expected to open this summer in the space between DSW and Burlington.

The store will be the sixth in Pennsylvania for Fresh Market, which currently has 183 stores in 27 states, according to the company's website.

Rumors of the company's move into York began last October, when the town center's landlord filed plans with West Manchester Township to bring in the store.

Once opened, Fresh Market will join a growing number of new businesses opening up in the space formerly occupied by the enclosed West Manchester Mall.

Among the businesses that have recently opened at the town center: DSW, Buffalo Wild Wings, Firehouse Subs, AT&T, Burlington and Subway.

Other businesses, including MOD Pizza and Outback Steakhouse, are also planning to open locations there in the near future.

The largest, still empty building that hasn't been leased on the property is the former Macy's location.
