York History Center
The York County History Center’s long-running oyster festival, now dubbed History on the Half Shell, returns this month to perk up Yorkers’ palates.
The fun goes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, at the Agricultural and Industrial Museum, 217 W. Princess St., York. Admission and parking are free, with food pay as you go.
Food options include oysters — served stewed, nude and fried — as well as crabcakes, shrimp, soup, apple fritters and other items. Live music will be provided by the Indian Summer Jars. Artisans will demonstrate their crafts, and gallery tours will be available.
