Tea and book talk: Red Brick Bakery and Tearoom, 55 N. Main St., Red Lion, is launching the Red Brick Book Club with Kaltreider-Benfer Library. The first meeting will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at the tearoom and feature discussion of “Gaining Ground,” this year’s One Book, One Community pick. Copies are available at the library. Lunch and sweets will be available for purchase at the tearoom. To reserve a seat, call (717) 332-7427. The book club will meet on the fourth Thursday of every month.
Chocolate Bunny Challenge: Wolfgang Candy Co. is looking for brave, hungry souls who can chomp through a chocolate bunny in record time. The third annual Chocolate Bunny Challenge puts $100 (and bragging rights) on the line. The contest will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 4, at Central Market, 34 W. Philadelphia St., York. To enter, follow Wolfgang Candy on Instagram and upload a photo of a chocolate recipe with your caption saying why you deserve to be the next chocolate bunny champ by Saturday, Feb. 27. Use the hashtag #ChocolateBunnyChallenge. Contestants will be notified on Sunday, Feb. 28.
There’s Guinness In It: If you love the taste of a thick stout, you won’t want to miss an entire meal of appetizers, entrees and desserts created with Ireland’s most popular beer. The There’s Guinness In It fundraiser runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at Central Market, 34 W. Philadelphia St., York, and benefits the York St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Tickets are $25 and will be sold until Friday, Feb. 26.
