COLLEGE SPORTS

Stevenson University: Sophomore and women's basketball player, Sara Tarbert, of Delta, was named to the 2015 D3Hoops.com All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team; was an honorable mention selection in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Division III Coaches' All-America team; and was named an All-Commonwealth Conference First Team player. She is the first women's basketball player at Stevenson to be named an All-American and was the only player from the Commonwealth Conference this season to receive the title. Also, she is one of 23 SU student-athletes to be named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll.

Stevenson University: Senior James Bishoff, of Glen Rock, a tennis player, has been named a Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week.

Arcadia University: Natalie Marshall, of York, was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi collegiate honor society.

Bloomsburg University: Jaclyn Vitale, of Dillsburg, Samantha Morgan, of New Freedom, and Kassidy Kelley and Katelyn Morton, both of York, were inducted into Phi Kappa Phi collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

Coastal Carolina University: Alyson Ford, of York Haven, was inducted into Phi Eta Sigma national honor society.

James Madison University: Rachel Phillips, of Stewartstown, was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi collegiate honor society.

Kutztown University: Aaron Hardenstine, of Etters, was inducted into Phi Alpha Theta national history honor society.

Kutztown University: Mary Smith, of Windsor, and Ashlee Burd, of York, were inducted into Phi Kappa Phi collegiate honor society.

Lebanon Valley College: Erin Wetzel, of Dover, and Rachel Eyler of York, were inducted into Psi Chi psychology honor society.

Lebanon Valley College: Joshua Reichert, of Dillsburg, Paige Riddle, of Mount Wolf, and Vincent Tranchitella and Morgan Webb, both of York, were inducted into Tri Beta biology honor society.

Lebanon Valley College: Klayton Garman, of York, was inducted into Phi Kappa Pi business and economic honor society.

McDaniel College: Junior Katarina Brooke Winhauer, of Hanover, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa national honor society.

Pennsylvania State University: Among those inducted into Phi Kappa Phi collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines are Alessandro Volo and Francesco Volo, both of Dallastown; Kathryn Deebel, of Mount Wolf; Chelsey Bryant of New Freedom; Zachary Fisher and Bethany Test, both of Red Lion; and Jennifer Beaverson, Nicholas Borden, Christopher Curry and Branson Small, all of York.

St. Francis University: Lauren Wingard, of York, was inducted into Delta Epsilon Sigma national honor society.

Wittenberg University: Rebecah Delp, of Hellam, was inducted into Mortar Board, a national senior honorary recognizing scholarship, leadership and service, and into Chi Alpha Sigma national college athletic honor society.

RECOGNITION

Kutztown University: David Grow, received $1,700 through the Carole and Ray Neag Undergraduate Research Fund for his research into the management of invasive plants along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail.

Kutztown University: Bryna Mullins, of New Freedom, and Gwynevere Isabella, of Wrightsville, were among the performers in the Mozart's Solemn Vespers choral program on April 13 in Carnegie Hall, N.Y.

Mount St. Mary's University: Kelsey Kierce, of York, has earned admission to study at the University of Cambridge, north of London, England, as part of a summer program for outstanding undergraduates. Kierce is among the first students from Mount St. Mary's to be part of the Cambridge program.

Susquehanna University: Jamie Marrs, of Mount Wolf, went on tour with the SU choir Feb. 27-March 8.

Susquehanna University: Derek Butler, of York, was named to the 2015 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

Susquehanna University: Michael Doran, of York, Pa., was named a student tour guide.

Susquehanna University: Shelby McGuigan, of Mount Wolf, has been named the business and advertising manager of The Crusader student newspaper for the 2015-16 academic year.

York College: Joel Copenheaver, of York, received a $1,000 Young Entrepreneur Scholarship from the National Federation of Independent Business.

MILITARY

Air Force: Airman Tyler S. Snyder, of Spring Grove, graduated from basic military training, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

Air Force: Airman 1st Class Cory J. Geiselman, of Dover, graduated from basic military training, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

Air Force: Airman Cassidy L. Heiser graduated from basic military training, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
