Northeastern High School basketball standout Antonio Rizzuto is a finalist for the 2018 Mr. Pennsylvania Basketball Award, given annually to the best high school male player in the state.

A Miss Pennsylvania Basketball Award is also given out.

This marks the fifth year for the awards, and this season's recipients will be announced at an awards luncheon in Harrisburg on May 26.

Fans can cast their votes at www.pabball.com/vote-now/. The media, coaches and fan votes will each account for one-third of the vote.

Rizzuto was recently named a first-team all-state selection in Class 5-A by Pennsylvania's sports writers. The 6-foot, 3-inch Rizzuto, who is headed to play NCAA Division I ball at the University at Albany, averaged 23.4 points per game last season. He was the leading scorer in the York-Adams League.

Rizzuto helped Northeastern win back-to-back York-Adams League titles and a District 3 Class 5-A crown in 2017. Northeastern went 58-7 over the past two seasons. Rizzuto was a second-team all-state selection as a junior.

Rizzuto is the only player from District 3 still in the running for the Mr. Pennsylvania Basketball Award.
