BLOG: Northeastern makes announcements about hot-selling boys' basketball tickets
The Northeastern High School boys' basketball team celebrates its first ever District 3 title.
It's no big secret that tickets to Northeastern boys' basketball games have become hot commodities in recent years.
It looks like that trend will continue for the 2017-2018 season.
That should come as no big surprise, given the success of the Bobcats' program in the past couple of years.
Northeastern finished 30-3 a season ago, winning York-Adams Division I, York-Adams League Tournament and District 3 Class 5-A championships. The Bobcats are off to a 3-0 start this season and are ranked No. 7 in the state in Class 5-A according to the City of Basketball Love poll.
On Tuesday, Dec. 19, Northeastern will play host to Central York in a highly-anticipated, early-season battle in York-Adams Division I. The Panthers are 2-1 this season and are coming off an 18-10 record last season.
Because of an anticipated high ticket demand for the Bobcats-Panthers contest, the Northeastern athletic department made some important announcements about tickets for that game.
Northeastern is requiring all Northeastern Winter Season Pass Holders, Year Athletic Pass Holders and Northeastern Senior Gold Card Holders who want to attend Tuesday's game pick up a ticket in advance.
Tickets will be available for pick-up on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the boys' game vs. York Suburban, and Sunday, Dec. 17, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the Northeastern ninth-grade building (198 N. Hartman St., Manchester).
Card holders must present their passes to receive a ticket. One ticket per card holder is available. The cards are non-transferable.
In addition, the Northeastern athletic department will hold an advance ticket sale for the Central game on Monday, Dec. 18, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m., and Tuesday, Dec. 19, from noon until 3 p.m. That sale will also take place at the Northeastern ninth-grade building. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.
The doors for Tuesday's game will open at 5 p.m.
