York County is now home to two No. 1 boys' volleyball teams — Northeastern and Central York.

Northeastern has been No. 1 in the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association Class 2-A state rankings since the first regular-season poll of the season. The Bobcats are the four-time defending PIAA Class 2-A state champions.

In the most recent 3-A state poll, however, Central York moved up to claim the No. 1 spot, too. The Panthers had been ranked in the top five all season and were No. 2 in the previous poll, but they assumed the No. 1 spot for the first time this season after previous No. 1 Hempfield lost to Penn Manor 3-2 on April 27.

Northeastern and Central York are both undefeated in York-Adams League action. They are scheduled to meet in a regular-season-ending showdown on Thursday, May 11, at Central York.

Two other York-Adams teams remained in the top 10 in their respective classes. York Suburban dropped from No. 4 to No. 5 in 2-A, while Dallastown fell from No. 6 to No. 7 in 3-A.

The complete 3-A rankings are: No. 1 Central York, No. 2 Central Dauphin, No. 3 Hempfield, No. 4 North Allegheny, No. 5 Penn Manor, No. 6 Seneca Valley, No. 7 Dallastown, No. 8 Emmaus, No. 9 Pennsbury and No. 10. Penn Trafford.
