York County will be well represented this weekend when some of the state's top high school football players converge on Altoona's Mansion Park Stadium.

Red Lion's Nick Argento, Spring Grove's Owen Jacobs and Central York's Noreaga Goff will compete for the West team at the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association East-West All-Star Game at 2 p.m. Sunday. In addition, Central York coach Josh Oswalt is an assistant coach for the West team.

Red Lion's Nick Argento, seen here making a tackle, will play in Sunday's Pennsylvania State Football Coaches Association East-West All-Star Game.

The 6-foot, 3-inch, 303-pound Argento and the 6-foot, 3-inch, 255-pound Jacobs both plan to continue their football careers as linemen at the NCAA Division II level in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. Argento is committed to Bloomsburg, while Jacobs is committed to Slippery Rock. The 5-foot, 5-inch, 160-pound Goff is undecided about his college career.

Argento and Jacobs were the Co-Defensive Players of the Year in York-Adams Division I. Goff, meanwhile, rushed for 1,167 yards for the Panthers. All three players were York-Adams Division I First Team All-Stars.

Oswalt led Central to a 7-4 record and a District 3 Class 6-A playoff berth last season in his debut campaign with the Panthers.

The East-West contest was created in 2001 as a sister game to the Big 33 Classic. In 15 games all-time, the East team holds a 10-5 edge over the West.

Tickets for the game are $8 and will only be on sale on game day starting at 12:30 p.m.

Central York's Noreaga Goff (2) will compete for the West team as a running back in Sunday's Pennsylvania State Football Coaches Association East-West All-Star Game.
