Rockets-Bobcats boys' basketball game sold out
Were you planning to attend Tuesday night's boys' basketball showdown between Spring Grove and Northeastern in Manchester?
Well, if you don't already have a ticket, you're out of luck.
Northeastern athletic director Bryan Stephens sent out an email on Tuesday morning that the highly-anticipated match-up has been sold out. No tickets will be sold at the door.
The game features an unbeaten Bobcats team (9-0 overall, 4-0 in York-Adams Division I) against a Spring Grove outfit (5-2, 3-1) that features University of Michigan recruit Eli Brooks, who is leading the York-Adams League in scoring at 24.9 points per game. Brooks recently became Spring Grove's all-time leading scorer.
In the most recent City of Basketball Love PIAA rankings, Northeastern was listed No. 5 in Class 5-A, while Spring Grove was among the teams to watch. In the most recent District 3 Class 5-A power ratings, Northeastern was No. 1 and Spring Grove was No. 4.
In his email, Stephens said all Northeastern athletic department season/year passes purchased before Dec. 28 will be accepted Tuesday night. All Northeastern Senior Gold Cards issued before Jan. 3 will be accepted. District 3 (gray) passes will not be accepted.
The junior varsity game will tip off at 6 p.m., followed by the varsity game at approximately 7:30 p.m.
