The West York field hockey team will play host to its fourth annual Kilts for a Cause game at 4 p.m. Wednesday against the school's boys' soccer team.

The game will benefit the Amanda Strous Scholarship Fund. The charity was chosen to shed light on women's issues, mainly violence against women. Strous is a former Dallastown High School field hockey standout who was murdered during the summer in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The teams will collect donations at the game and sell T-shirts in honor of Strous, whose mother is a teacher at the West York Area Middle School. The team with the most shirts sold will start the game off with a one-point advantage.

In previous seasons, the West York field hockey team took on the Bulldogs' football team in the field hockey contest.
