West York High School graduate Brett Kinneman has captured a place on Louisville Slugger's Freshman All-America team, announced Wednesday by the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.

The North Carolina State left fielder hit .296 in 34 starts this season with six homers, 13 doubles and 32 RBIs. Kinneman played sparingly early in the season before an injury to another player opened up a spot in the order. The freshman produced immediately, contributing at least one hit in 17 of his first 19 starts.

Kinneman becomes the 11th Wolfpack player to make Collegiate Baseball's Freshman All-America list.

The N.C State season ended Tuesday with 7-5 loss to Coastal Carolina in NCAA Division I Super Regional action. The Wolfpack entered that game ranked No. 17 in the nation. N.C. State finished at 38-22.
