BLOG: Northeastern's Devilbiss named an All-American

Northeastern boys' volleyball senior outside hitter Reese Devilbiss was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association's Senior All-American First Team on Tuesday.

Only players in their senior season, whose head coach is an AVCA member, were eligible for nomination. The 20 players chosen for the two teams represent 16 high school from across the nation.

Devilbiss, who will play for national champion Ohio State in college, is leading the Bobcats in their pursuit of a fourth straight PIAA Class AA state championship. The Bobcats most recently defeated York-Adams foe York Suburban to claim the team's fourth straight District 3-AA crown.

Northeastern (19-0) begins its PIAA tournament run on Wednesday when it takes on Crestwood at 7 p.m. at Cumberland Valley High School.
