Free community Thanksgiving take-out meal

Lifepath Christian Ministries, 367 W. Market St. in York, will offer a free take-out community Thanksgiving meal, 11:30 a.m-12:30 p.m. Thursday.

All are welcomed to pick-up a meal in the alley behind the men's shelter, located at 370 W. Clarke Ave.

Thanksgiving Day will look different this year at Lifepath Christian Ministries. Community members are invited to pick up a free meal on Thursday at the York City center.

PeoplesBank Park 

Spruce’d Up : A Celebration of Trees 

The York Revolution and York Traditions Bank have invited area businesses to sponsor and decorate trees and raise money for charities for Spruce’d Up: A Celebration of Trees. 

More than three dozen trees will be displayed on the concourse of PeoplesBank Park, and ithe community is invited to stroll through the festive display and vote for their favorite trees.  

Admission is free, and donations will be made to Community Aid and the charities of the top three decorators. 

The free family-friendly event will kick off Friday and be open 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Thursday through Sunday until Dec. 20. It will feature holiday music, special offers on Revolution merchandise and themed entertainment on Saturday nights. Santa Claus will visit Saturday, local music groups will lead a sing-along on Dec. 5, Greater York Dance will be featured on Dance Night on Dec. 12, and Santa’s elves will assist kids in Santa’s Workshop on Dec. 19. 

The outdoor yet covered event will allow visitors to enjoy the participating companies’ creations while still adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols.
