Friends of the York County History Center  

Annual Pecan & Nut Sale. 

Due to COVID-19, this year’s Friends of the History Center Annual Pecan and Nut sale will be a pre-sale.

Pickup information will be available after Dec. 10. 

Items for sale include cashews, cinnamon glazed pecans, dark chocolate- and milk chocolate-covered pecans and various plain pecans.

York County Area Agency on Aging

'10 Keys to Healthy Aging'

The York County Area Agency on Aging will host free virtual workshops for those 60-years-old and over.

The "10 Keys to Healthy Aging" workshops were developed by the Center for Aging and Population Health at the University of Pittsburgh.

Highlights of the workshops include: lowering systolic blood pressure; stopping smoking; participating in cancer screenings; regular immunizations; regulating blood glucose; lowering LDL cholesterol; being physically active; maintaining healthy bones, joints and muscles; combating depression; and maintaining social contact.

Sessions will be held 1-2:30 p.m. on Tuesdays from Dec. 8 through Jan. 5.

History Center 

Beginning genealogy online 

Genealogist and local historian Rebecca Anstine will present “How to Build a Family tree Starting with Ancestry and Newspaper.com” on Saturday. 

The presentation will be held online on Zoom and Facebook Live from 1 to 2 p.m.
