Reserve spots now at the Birthday Ball 

Reservations are now being accepted for the 2020 U.S. Marine Corps Birthday Ball.  

The annual event, sponsored by the First Capitol Detachment of the Marine Corps League, is set for Saturday, Nov. 14, at Heritage Hills Resort, 2700 Mount Rose Ave. 

Included is a sit-down dinner, birthday cake with a formal cake-cutting ceremony and more. The featured speaker for the event will be Maj. Kenneth White, USMC (Ret).  

Doors open at 5 p.m., and ceremonies begin at 6 p.m. Due to the current pandemic, this will be a masked ball.

Spry Church 

Indoor worship services to resume 

Spry Church, School Street Campus,  50 School St., will resume indoor worship on Sunday. 

The traditional worship service will begin at 9 a.m., and the contemporary services will be held at 9:45 a.m. and 11 a.m.   Children's ministry and nursery will be available. 

Online worship will continue for those who prefer not to attend indoor services.

Lewisberry United Methodist Church

Drive-thru turkey supper

Lewisberry United Methodist Church, 309 Market St. in Lewisberry, will be holding a drive-thru turkey supper starting at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7.

The meal will include turkey with mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, gravy, applesauce, bread filling, cranberry sauce, rolls and variety of desserts.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children ages 4-12.
