Halloween Treat Trail

The York Branch YMCA is set to host the annual Halloween Treat Trail event, 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot. of the facility, 90 N. Newberry St 

Each year the Uptown York Rotary Club helps with this event by having the club’s members take part. Members of the community are invited to attend this free event.

Youth and everyone in the family attending the event must wear masks (under the costume mask if wearing a costume mask).

The Seldom Scene and 'White Christmas'

The Appell Center for the Performing Arts, 50 N. George St., is planning in-person events again.

The center will open for a concert by bluegrass band The Seldom Scene at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, in the Strand Theatre. Tickets start at $34 for limited in-person seating and $15 for a livestream link.

The traditional showing of "White Christmas" is scheduled to run on the following weekend dates in the Capital Theatre: Dec. 4-6, 11-13 and 18-20. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, Oct. 28. Cost is $10 per ticket.

Union Fire and Hose

Designer Bag Bingo

The Union Fire and Hose Co. No. 1 of Dover, 30 E. Canal St. in Dover, will be holding a designer bag bingo on Sunday, Nov. 1.

Tickets cost $20 for 24 games of bingo.

Other raffle prizes and games will also be played, and refreshments will be made available.
