Gas station robbed
Spring Garden Township Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Sunday evening at a gas station, police said.
The incident occurred about 9:19 p.m. Sunday at a Sunoco Station, located at 1300 Mount Rose Avenue in Spring Garden Township.
As the suspect approached the counter to ask for a pack of cigarettes, he pointed a gun at the clerk, who was opening the cash register, police said.
"The suspect pointed a handgun and demanded the money from the register," a news release stated. "After taking the money, the suspect left the store."
The clerk told police the suspect was a male in his mid-20s, standing about 5 feet, 6 inches, and weighing 150 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black ski mask and black hoodie with white lettering, according to a news release.

Art with a Heart Auction
Creative York, a nonprofit art center located in downtown York, will be hosting Art with a Heart a silent virtual auction starting at 10 a.m. Thursday and running until 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30.
The auction will feature a 100 unique pieces from artists around the United States.
Bidding on all items starts at $125.
There are sponsorship opportunities available and a raffle as well.

Concert 4 a Cause
The Jewish Family Services of York will hold its eighth annual Concert 4 a Cause for free virtually at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5.
The two bands performing will be Indian Summer Jars and Lucille and the Wolf.
The performances will be livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook.
The show is a fundraiser for older adults in the York area.
