Watershed Alliance 

Watershed Weekends begin Wednesday 

The Watershed Alliance of York will host its 17th Watershed Weekends, Wednesday through Sept. 29 at 13 venues around York County. 

The purpose of the Watershed Weekends is to get to know the watershed and meet people who are working to enhance, restore and protect them.  

Some of the events included are a rain barrel presentation, Envirothon Clay Shoot Fundraiser,  York City Fall Cleanup, 19th Codorus Creek Cleanup, Youth and Family Fun Conservation and Fishing Day, Community Blooms Rain Garden Planting/Workshop,  All About Rain Gardens Demonstration, and Pawpaw Food Fest.

The Watershed Alliance of York is a coalition of stakeholders committed to being innovative leaders educating the public and encouraging watershed-based planning, restoration and protection through locally led initiatives, in York County and beyond.

Martin Library 

Free movie screening 

Martin Library will host a free screening of “Amoros Perros,” 5 p.m. Thursday at the library, 159 E. Market St. 

The movie is in Spanish with English subtitles. Those attending are welcome to bring their favorite movie snack.
