Moonlight bike rides
The York County Department of Parks and Recreation’s monthly moonlight bike ride series returns to county parks on Saturdays from April 28 through Sept. 8.
The roundtrip rides begin at park parking lots across the county, typically at 8:30 p.m., and last for about 90 minutes. Riders should bring their own bicycle, light, water and helmet.
This year’s rides with the Sunset Scramblers are:
April 28: 8:30 p.m. at Hanover Junction, starting out north and riding 9 miles.
May 26: 8:30 p.m. at Glatfelter Station, starting out north and riding 9 miles.
June 30: 8:30 p.m. at Glen Rock, starting out north and riding 9 miles.
July 28: 8:30 p.m. at Hanover Junction, starting out north and riding 9 miles.
Aug. 25: 8:30 p.m. at Seven Valleys, starting out north and riding 10 miles.
Sept. 8: 7:30 p.m. at Stump Park, 490 Days Mill Road, York Township, starting out south and riding 8 miles.
