The Austin L. Grove American Legion Post 403 will host its second blood drive of the year 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at the post, 4035 Manchester St., Glen Rock.

Community members are encouraged to donate blood to the Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank during the event. Donations remain in southcentral Pennsylvania. In central Pennsylvania, nearly 300 units of blood are needed at area hospitals daily.

Donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh more than 110 pounds, have eaten within four hours before donating and bring a photo ID. Sixteen-year-olds must have a signed parental consent form from the blood bank; the form will be available at the post. Other medical conditions might apply.

Donors will receive a buy-one-get-one-free coupon for a large pizza at Papa John’s.

For more information, call the blood bank at 800-771-0059.
