Explore the universe while staying comfortably on Earth during the York County Astronomical Society’s programs Saturday, April 14, at the York Learning Center Planetarium, 301 E. Sixth Ave., North York.

The society offers an afternoon program suitable for young children with their families and an evening program suitable for older children and adults.

This month’s afternoon lineup features “One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure” at 2 p.m., “StarWatch” at 2:40 p.m. and “Defying Gravity: It Is Rocket Science!” at 3:20 p.m.

The evening lineup features “From Earth to the Universe” at 7 p.m., “StarWatch” at 7:40 p.m. and “Out There: The Quest for Extrasolar Worlds” at 8:20 p.m.

Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for children and seniors. Admission to any second or third show is $1 each.
