“Bridge to Terabithia” auditions

The Newbery Award-winning novel “Bridge to Terabithia” is coming to the stage at DreamWrights Center for Community Arts — and you could be in the show.
Guest director Kevin Alvarnaz will select two complete casts for the play, which follows author Katherine Paterson’s coming-of-age tale about two fifth-graders in rural Virginia. The story deals with “weighty” themes of childhood, family, friendship and loss, among others.
Auditions are open to ages 7 through adults, starting at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, and Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the theater, 100 Carlisle Ave., York. Children younger than 13 are particularly encouraged to audition.
Performances will be April 13-22 at the theater.
