York College has announced upcoming events that are open to the public with free admission.
Lecture: Georgetown University history professor Chandra Manning with present, Lincoln Refugees from Slavery, and the Difficult Birth of Freedom, 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, in Weinstock Lecture Hall, Willman Business Center. A reception will be held at 6:30 p.m. There will also be a booksigning. Free admission.
Film and discussion: “Divide in Concord,” a Sustainability and Environmental Studies program, 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, in Weinstock Lecture Hall, Willman Business Center. Free admission.
Humanities Film Series: York native and TV composer Al Sgro will discuss his work, 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, in Room 218, Humanities Center. Free admission.
Concert: The York Chamber Players will perform, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, in DeMeester Recital Hall, Evelyn and Earle Wolf Hall. Free admission.
Concerts: 7:30 p.m. performances by the Groove Ensemble, Thursday, Nov. 30, and the Jazz Ensemble, Friday, Dec. 8, in DeMeester Recital Hall. Free admission.
