York College will host the lip-sync competition, Sing for a Cure, 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, in DeMeester Recital Hall, Wolf Hall.

The session is being organized by Sigma Phi Omega, the college’s gerontology honor society. Evan Forrester, anchor of Fox 43 Weekday News, will be the celebrity emcee and judges will include York Mayor Kim Bracey; Kevin Schreiber, York County Economic Alliance CEO and York College alumnus; Jennah Motter, Miss York County; Dan Curlik, York College assistant professor; and Patsy Simpson of WROZ-FM.

Admission is free. There will also be raffles for gift baskets.

The fundraiser is sponsored by Visiting Angels of York to benefit the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Oct. 7 at John Rudy Park.

The competition will also be held, 3:30 p.m. Sept. 14 at Windy Hill Senior Center, Spring Grove.

Winners will receive cash prizes and will perform at the walk.
