York United block party rescheduled


The second annual York United block party has been rescheduled.

The celebration had been set for Friday, Aug. 11, but postponed due to possible thunderstorms.

The block party is now scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 29, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., in front of the York City Police Department at 50 W. King St.

There will be free food, games, entertainment and activities.

Admission is free.

The celebration will showcase the police department and other emergency first-responders in appreciation of their service to the community.
