Delta’s Downtown BBQ Festival 2017 will be held, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, July 29, in the Main Street and College Avenue areas.

The event will feature food, arts and crafts, live music, activities for children and adults, and much more.

Several contests will be held, including the 2017 Captain of the Sauces, a homemade barbecue sauce competition. One pint of sauce must be submitted between 11 a.m.-2 p.m., with the winner announced after 7 p.m.

An information booth will be open at the Main Street and College Avenue intersection.

Free parking will be available: Delta-Cardiff Volunteer Fire Co., 500 Main St.; Delta Chapel, 100 Chapel St.; rear of DP Lounge/Delta Pizza, 533 Main St.; rear of Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St.; rear of Ken Jones Insurance Co., 617 Main St.; and Taylor’s Service Center, 403 Main St.

Also, shuttles will run from the Peach Bottom Township Recreation Center, 5 Pendyrus St., and the Mason Dixon Fairgrounds, off of Line Road.

The event is sponsored by the Delta Pride revitalization effort.
