Study of stream habitat
The York County Department of Parks and Recreation is inviting the community to participate in a study of stream habitat, 10:30-11:30 and again 1-2 p.m. Saturday, July 15, at Nixon County Park.
A park naturalist will lead people into the stream in search of insect and salamander larva, and other aquatic animals.
Participants will learn how to assess the health of the stream and discuss influences affecting water quality.
Registration is required by calling 717-428-1961.
