York County Libraries and GO York! will host the Better World Fest, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, July 15, at Gifford Pinchot State Park, Conewago Day Use Area, 1185 Alpine Road, Wellsville.

The rain-or-shine event will feature a character and story read by Kevin Schreiber, president and CEO of the York County Economic Alliance, 11 a.m.; magician Michael Thomas, noon; and Positive Energy Arts Foundation dance camp entertainment, 1 p.m.

There will also be a talk about honeybees by Elizabeth Kepley-McNutt, an environmental education specialist for the state Conservation & Natural Resources, and make-n-take craft and activity stations.

Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Picnic lunches are welcome, but food stands will be available.
