Reptile week at Nixon Park

The York County Department of Parks and Recreation will host its Reptile Week, Saturday, July 1, through Sunday, July 9, at Nixon County Park Nature Center.

The event will feature reptile specimens, exhibits and interactive stations.

Special programs are:

Meet Live Reptiles with Jesse Rothacker, 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. July 1 and 8.

Gone Herping! Nature Trek, 1-2:30 p.m. July 2 and 9.

Feeding times, 10 a.m. July 5-7.

Event hours are noon-4:30 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday. The Nature Center will be closed Saturday-Sunday, July 3-4.

Admission is $2 per person for the entire event and free for Parks members and children ages 5 and younger.
