Royer’s Flowers & Gifts has announced its annual food drive to benefit the Central Pennsylvania and Greater Berks food banks will be held June 17-July 1.

For each nonperishable food item, donors will receive a free carnation, up to six per visit. Donations may be dropped off at any Royer’s store during normal business hours or at the Drayer Physical Therapy Institute, 1805 Loucks Road, Suite 200, and 120 N. Baltimore St., Dillsburg.

Also, the food drive will kick-off with a Kids Club event. Children ages 5-12 are invited to bring a non-perishable food item and an empty can to make a flower arrangement. There will also be free balloons.

Pre-registration is required for the 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. time slots.

In addition, Royer’s annual birthday card design contest, open to children ages 5 to 12, runs throughout June. The winning design will adorn its Kids Club birthday card, which is emailed to all club members on their birthdays. The winning artist will receive free flowers.
