Register for docent training

The Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad Preservation Society will conduct its annual docent training day, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at its Heritage Village general store, 1258 Muddy Creek Forks Road, Airville.

The living history museum, depicting life as it was circa 1915, includes a 19th century general store, roller mill, grain elevator, fertilizer warehouse and bank barn as well as a five-mile excursion train ride.
The village is open from early June through mid-December, with docents interacting with guests.
Both newcomers and experienced docents are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Registration is required by Wednesday, May 3.
