York College events planned

York College has announced two events open to the public.

First is the screening “Son of Saul,” a film that follows a day in the life of an Auschwitz concentration camp inmate, 7 p.m. Thursday, March 23, in the Humanities Center, Room 218.

Kay McAdams, a professor of history who teaches a course on the Holocaust in film, will present the award-winning movie and lead a question-and-answer session afterward.

Then, the York Chamber Players, a collective of musicians based in York, will present a recital, 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 24, in DeMeester Recital Hall, Evelyn and Earle Wolf Hall.

The group will present an eclectic program featuring chamber music by Georg Philipp Telemann, Andy Akiho, Jimmy Giuffre and Felix Mendelssohn.

Admission to both events is free.
