The York County Area Agency on Aging is in need of volunteers to serve as peer leaders for a new, interactive diabetes self-management program.

Developed at Stanford University, the program provides information to help manage diabetes, deal with difficult emotions associated with it, and break the symptom cycle that comes with the disease.

Volunteer training will be held 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 7, 9, 14 and 16, at SpiriTrust Lutheran, Gladfelter Center, 1802 Folkemer Circle, Manchester Township.

There is no charge for the training, materials or lunch.

For more information, call Megan Craley or Diane Gerhart at 771-9610.
