Martin Library, 159 E. Market St., will present Voices of York: African American Celebration, Our History, Our Future, in February.

The free series, in celebration of African American History Month, offers programs for all ages. The schedule is:

  • Wednesday, Feb. 15: 6-7:30 p.m., Preparing African American Youth for
  • Adult Life: Making Youth Marketable for the Word Economy, a community forum and panel discussion.
  • Saturday, Feb. 18: 6-8 p.m., Still, I Rise, a dance and the spoken word event.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 21: 4-6 p.m., meet local authors, and 6-7:30 p.m., Voices in the Written Word, a learning session about the writing process and writers’ journeys.
  • Friday, Feb. 24: 5-8 p.m., Music and Menus, featuring music by Tim Warfield and food from local minority restaurants.
