The York County Department of Parks and Recreation will host a program on Atreus Wanner, 2:30-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at Nixon County Park.

A PowerPoint program will highlight the little-known York resident who spent much of his spare time collecting fossils in York and Lancaster counties in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Wanner was superintendent of the York City School District and a friend of the famous paleontologist, Charles Walcott.

Admission is free.

For more information, call the park at 428-1961 or visit www.yorkcountyparks.org.
