Angela Dohrman

-- SpiriTrust Lutheran has named Angela L. Dohrman its chief operating officer/senior vice president, effective Dec. 12. Dohrman joined the organization in 2008 as vice president for senior living.

Also, the SpiriTrust Lutheran Foundation recently named Kimberly T. Alvarez its director of development.

DONATION

-- Giant Food Stores and Martin’s Food Markets recently donated $100,000 to 17 Pennsylvania educational foundations which support local schools. The funds are part of the company’s participation in Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program. The York County organizations that received $5,000 each are the Susan P. Byrnes Education Center and the York Suburban Education Foundation.

RECOGNITION

-- Baker Tilly Virchow Krause was named to the Best Places to Work in PA for 2016 list by the Best Companies Group and the Central Penn Business Journal.

Also, Paul D. Kinmartin Jr., a Baker Tilly partner, gave a presentation at the Manufacturers’ Association’s 2017 Economic Forecast for Manufacturing and Business, held in New Cumberland. And Kervin R. Myer, another partner at Baker Tilly, has been appointed treasurer of the United Way of York County.

-- Erin Gladfelter, a commercial insurance protection analyst at Keller-Brown Insurance Services, Shrewsbury, has earned the Certified Insurance Counselor designation.

-- Westfalia Technologies, a provider of logistics solutions for plants, warehouses and distribution centers, has won its third consecutive Green Supply Chain Award from Supply & Demand Chain Executive. Westfalia was recognized for helping customers execute green supply chain strategies to lower energy usage and reduce waste production.
