United Way board members and partner agencies met on June 20 to honor four local volunteers who have demonstrated outstanding service in the community. They are:
Volunteer of the Year: Jefrey Woodall, York College assistant professor of marketing and chair of the Graham School of Business.
Distinguished Service Award: Timothy Debes, NuTec Design Associates.
Community Building Award: Carolyn Warman, executive director of Leadership York.
Labor Participation Award: Charles Fleegle Jr., IAMAW Local Lodge 1400.
NEW HIRES
Barton Associates, a mechanical, electrical and plumbing consulting engineering firm will offices in York, State College and Pittsburgh, has announced that Ryan C. Davie, of York, has been hired as a mechanical designer in the York office. Davie, a recent graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, served an internship at Barton in the past year.
S&T Bank has hired Karen Sterner as a mortgage banker at the downtown York branch. Sterner has a master’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University.

Eric Frigm and Peggy Fink have joined Berkshire Hathaway Homesale Realty.
