Stream habitat study
The York County Department of Parks and Recreation is inviting the community to participate in a study of stream habitat at Nixon County Park.
Times and dates are 10:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-2 p.m. Saturdays, June 18, July 23 and 30 and Aug. 20.
Participants will search for aquatic macroinvertebrates, will learn how to assess the health of the stream, and discuss influences affecting water quality. Closed-toe shoes are required.
