Archeology Camp for students

The York County Department of Parks and Recreation and the York County Heritage Trust will host Archeology Camp, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 20-24, at Horn Farm Center for Agriculture, Hellam Township.

Students ages 10-13 will conduct excavations and learn how to take notes and catalog artifacts like those displayed at historic institutions. There will also be 1930s-themed programs focusing on the introduction of electricity and radio broadcasting to rural York County.

The cost is $180 or $160 for trust and parks members.

And, a public program to see and learn about the excavations will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 23. To register, call 428-1961 or visit www.yorkcountypa.gov.
