York City has announced traffic advisories for three events on Saturday, May 28.

The Mudhook Brewing Co. will host a chili cook-off, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. in Cherry Lane Park. Motorists are advised to beware of heavy pedestrian traffic on Cherry Lane and Clarke Avenue.

The Avenues Neighborhood Association will sponsor its third annual Spring Be In with six bands, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. in Kiwanis Lake Park. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area.

The YMCA will host its annual Aquatic Club Kid’s Triathlon for ages 7-14, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Graham Aquatic Center, Kiwanis Lake and Farquhar Park. The event will include bicycling, running and swimming.

Streets that will be closed during the triathlon are:

Parkway Boulevard from Smith Street to Pacific Avenue.

Atlantic Avenue from Parkway Boulevard to Wood Street.

Wood Street from Atlantic to Pennsylvania avenues.

Pennsylvania Avenue from Noonan to Willis Run roads.

Madison Avenue from North Penn to Newberry streets.

Newberry Street from Jefferson Avenue to Parkway Boulevard.

Streets posted no parking will include:

North Newberry from Parkway Boulevard to Jefferson Avenue.

Wood Street from Pennsylvania to Atlantic avenues.

Parkway Boulevard from Newberry Street to Atlantic Avenue.

Atlantic Avenue from Parkway Boulevard to Wood Street.

Pennsylvania Avenue from Wood Street to Parkway Boulevard.

The streets affected by the triathlon should be open to traffic by 1 p.m.

Motorists should expect minor delays and use caution in the area.
