James G. Keenan, partner and chair of the family law division of Hoffmeyer & Semmelman, has been named one of the 10 Best Family Law Attorneys for Client Satisfaction in Pennsylvania by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys.


Mary Alice L. Pershing, an administrative assistant at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, has earned CompTIA A+ certification while attending YTI Career Institute.

The OSS Orthopaedic Hospital has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for joint replacement-shoulder certification.


Giant Food Stores: Associates recently donated 40 tons of food and cleaning and health-care items to Liberty USO for distribution to area military families. Also, customers donated $632,620 during the annual bag hunger campaign, held in March to support local and regional food banks in four states.


First Capital Engineering has hired Andrew Stotler and Diane Phan as staff engineers.

S&T Bank has hired Laura Combs as community banking manager of Integrity Bank, downtown York office. Combs is a 2012 graduate of Leadership York.

Rebecca M. Shanaman has joined the CGA Law Firm, downtown York. She most recently worked in real estate and business law in Chicago, Ill. The York County native is a graduate of York Catholic High School.


McConkey Insurance & Benefits has announced two promotions: Lisa M. Farrell to supervisor, select division, and April N. Eyet to associate consultant, benefits division. Farrell served as a receptionist, a trainee and a client service agent since joining McConkey in 2007; Eyet has served as a client service coordinator since 2014.
