Lantern-release launch

The Uptown York Rotary Club will host a public Lantern Release Wish Party, 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at the Walnut Street boat launch, John Wright Restaurant, 234 N. Front St., Wrightsville.

Environmentally friendly Chinese lanterns will be sold for $15 each, which can be used to offer a blessing, a wish, a tribute or in memory of a loved one.

Lanterns are available for $15 each. The proceeds will benefit area non-profits through the club’s charitable grants program.
