First Capital Federal Credit Union employees Tara Houser and Lisa Barshinger received awards from the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association. Houser, vice president of marketing, received the Josephine Sakovics Memorial Scholarship for lodging and registration to the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association’s annual convention. Barshinger, a business development representative, received a Judge/Bradley Memorial Scholarship for tuition and expenses to attend the Judge Bradley Leadership School at Penn State.


Paul E. Rigby has been elected to The Bon-Ton Stores board of directors, audit committee.


McConkey Insurance & Benefits has announced the promotion of Laura N. Mercadante, GBA, to the position of operations manager, benefits division. Mercadante previously served as client services manager of benefits.


Dr. Denise Visco, an award-winning ocular surgeon, medical director and founder of Eyes of York, has been named to the Ocular Surgery News’ Premier Surgeon 300, an elite group of refractive cataract surgeons.

Dr. Michael H. Kane, of Hanover Medical Group Urology, was named Top Doctor for the fourth consecutive year and Top Doctor for Cancer for the third time by Castle Connolly America’s Top Doctors.
