Jamese Preston


York College: Jamese Preston, a human services major, partnered with SpiriTrust Lutheran, The Village at Kelly Drive, to provide 15-20 hours of service monthly for room and board.

Alvernia University: Students who received awards at the annual Honors Convocation on April 17 are Brittany Markel, of York, the Chorus Award, and Christopher Campo, of York, Sister Pacelli Award.

Ashland University: Nicholas Klecker, of Hanover, has been named a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

Lebanon Valley College: First-year students who were recognized for making an impact on campus are Alexander Hamme, of Dover; Joelle Godfrey, of Felton; LaElla Dickerson, of Manchester; and Paul Berry, Breah Koller, Macie Schantz and Jacob Whitfield, all of York.

Lycoming College: Emily Rupe, of Wrightsville, and Cathrin Manning, of York, had artwork projects showcased in the college's art gallery in April.

Pennsylvania College of Technology: Joshua T. Posey, of York Haven, won eighth place in wood construction and 10th place in compact excavator at the 40th annual National Collegiate Landscape Competition in Starkville, Miss.

Rochester Institute of Technology: Timothy Frey, of New Freedom, was named an outstanding undergraduate scholar.

Stevenson University: Rebecca Gruver, of York, performed community service work in New Orleans during spring break.

Wilkes University: Thurman Fogleman, of York, was inducted into the teacher education program at a pinning ceremony on March 15.

York College: Was named to the inaugural excellence in community college transfer honor roll by Phi Theta Kappa honor society.
